Summer Pre-Assessment

Visiting Walt Disney World was a MUST this summer...or so I told my husband, and he happily agreed.  We left Green Bay on a Friday morning and flew out of Milwaukee General Mitchell Airport four hours later.  The flight was uneventful and we arrived in Orlando to a rainy, dark sky and crazy humidity.  We hopped on the Magical Express (Disney's bus service to its hotels) and FINALLY reached our destination: Disney's Pop Century Resort.  Pop Century is a tribute to the decades from the 1950's to the 1990's.  In the 1950's section, visitors will find a bowling-pin-shaped pool, and giant jukeboxes from the 50's.  In the 1990's section, the rooftops are covered with words like "WHATEVER!" and "WHAZZUP?"  The resort in itself is very colorful and fun (and CHEAP, which was necessary to my husband if he agreed to go on this trip)!
Our first stop was to Downtown Disney to visit friends at the Irish Pub Raglan Road. We shopped, had Irish libations, and watch Irish dancers and singers perform on-stage.
